It showed maximal inhibition of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), interleukin-1beta (IL-1β) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) on bacterial LPS-induced inflammation in RAW264.7 macrophage.

論文結論:4-acetylantroquinonol B (4AAQB) is isolated from the mycelium of Antrodia cinnamomea. 4AAQB exhibits anti-inflammatory effects inhibit tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)/interleukin-6 (IL-6) releasing and LPS-stimulated phagocytes migration without affect cell growth. The MAPK kinase molecules phosphorylation in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophage including ERK, JNK and p38 was inhibited by 4AAQB. The phosphorylation of NFκB subunit p65 and IkBα were also decreased after 4AAQB treatment.

論文結論:Radiotherapy for treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma causes severe side effects, including acute hepatitis and chronic fibrosis. In normal liver cell line CL48, ethanol extract of Antrodia cinnamomea (ACE) protects cells by eliminating irradiation-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) through the induction of Nrf2 and the downstream redox system enzymes. The protective effect of ACE was also demonstrated in tumor-bearing mice by alleviating irradiation-induced acute hepatitis. ACE could also protect mice from CCl₄-induced hepatitis. ACE likely contains active components that protect normal liver cells from free radical attack and can potentially benefit hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients during radiotherapy.

論文結論:Diabetes mellitus together with the oxidative stress affects the process of spermatogenesis and leads to male infertility. Antrodia cinnamomea ethanol extract (ACEE) has anti-inflammatory and ameliorative effects to prevent diabetes-induced male reproductive dysfunction. ACEE improved STZ-NA (streptozotocin (STZ) (65 mg/kg) and nicotinamide (NA) (230 mg/kg)) induced hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, and insulin resistance. ACEE reduced the degree of lipid peroxidation, recovered the abnormal structure of the seminiferous tubules, and improved sperm parameters.

A heterogalactan, named ACW0, was extracted from Antrodia camphorata and purified by anion exchange and gel permeation chromatography. A sulfated polysaccharide, ACW0-Sul was achieved by the chlorosulfonic acid-pyridine method. ACW0-Sul could be a potent candidate for anti-angiogenic agent development. human microvascular endothelial cells (HMEC-1) "1. ACW0-Sul could disrupt tube formation and migration as well as cell growth of human microvascular endothelial cells (HMEC-1) dose-dependently. 
2. Phosphorylation of Extracellular Regulated Protein Kinases (Erk) and Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) were significantly inhibited by ACW0-Sul.
